 NEW: Impact Competition

This year IUKF is sponsoring a very special booth - We are conducting a contest to see who has the most powerful punch and front kick. Entrance fee is $5 (going to charity) and each contestant will be able to throw two of their best punches and two of their best kicks that will be measured by a new computerized sensor-driven program that measures the impact delivered to a target. We will have special prizes for children, men and women of all ages.

 Masters Celebration Demonstrations

The Master’s Ceremony will begin with the lion dance to bring good luck and to establish its power and energy to the Celebration. The lion dance will be performed by the Gung Ho Club, the oldest existing lion dance club in New England.

Mai Du Yee will be present and will perform one of her incredible athletic praying mantis forms. She may also be bringing some of her students to give us one of her powerful performances.

Sifu Michael Lowery and his family will also be present and he has agreed to perform a handset from one of the many systems in which he has trained. His Sifu was Master Lee Fan Fown who was at one time, prior to coming to the United States, a Chinese National Champion.

Shihan David McConnell, Ju-dan in Peter Urban’s Goju will also be present. He has been teaching for over 50 years and has one of the oldest karate dojos in Plymouth.

The New England Kung Fu Association will also be present and has agreed to demonstrate for us. They are the leading Kung Fu organization in the North East.

Fang Chi Lee who was a National Champion in Taiwan will be present and agreed also to perform with a few of her students. She is also a Taiwan National Kendo champion.

Fred Lohse.

Many honored guests will be present who, depending on time, will also demonstrate their martial art skills.
